What:     BARKUS Dog Parade (Dress your dog as a character from a book or movie)

When:     Saturday, August 9, 2008 (Check-In starts at 9:00 a.m. Parade starts at 10:00 a.m.)

Where:   Grounds of the Chanhassen Library, check in at North Parking Lot of City Hall

Who:       This is a FUNDRAISER  for the FRIENDS OF THE CHANHASSEN LIBRARY

Each dog MUST BE registered and be costumed
Each dog MUST HAVE a separate registration form and at least one human escort to be in the parade

$8 FOCL Members
$12 If you are not a FOCL member (You can join today!!)
$15 If you register after August 2nd, 2010
Half price for each additional dog

RULES, HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFICATION

• Dogs must be on a leash and must be current with their shots

•  No dogs “In Season” may participate

• Adults are responsible fro their dogs, their dog’s poop (bring baggies) and their children

• Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult in the parade

• Barkus is for dogs and human (cats will have no security)

• Dogs may ride in a wagon, buggy, cart or be carried • Registration is on a first-come, first - served basis with priority given to Chanhassen residents. We will notify you if parade is full.

• Hold harmless and indemnify- The adult signing registration form agrees to abide by the rules, and also agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the City
of Chanhassen, the Chanhassen Library, and the Friends of the Chanhassen Library from all liability, costs and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, arising from the participation of their dog, themselves, and their family with this event.
