2008 Poetry Challenge

For the 10th year the Friends of the Chanhassen Library is happy to run the Poetry Challenge which is sponcered by Target.

A prize for each participant!

One winner from each grade will receive a $25 gift certificate from Barnes & Noble! 

Open to Chanhassen students in grades 1-5.

How to participate:

Write a poem. Put your name, address, phone#, school and grade on the paper. Turn it in to the Chanhassen Library by Friday, April 18.

Attend the Poetry Challenge festival at the Chanhassen Library on Monday, April 28 at 6:30 pm

Invite your friends and family to the:

Poetry Festival

Chanhassen Library Monday April 28th, 6:30pm

Minnesota Poet, Susan Marie Swanson will read from her book, To be Like the Sun.

 Participants will have a chance to read their own poetry.

Winners will be announced at 7 pm with refreshments following!

All participants will have their poems published in a special

Poetry Booklet – be sure to pick yours up at the Festival!
